Tell us about your business.
I'm Brittany and my business is Brittany Anne's Handcrafted Event Rentals. I am located in Morgantown, West Virginia and have been in business since October 2017. When I first started this business, it was specific to unique rentals such as flower walls, donut boards and more.
However, I have always dreamed of being a wedding planner/coordinator. Instead, I went to law school, started practicing law and thought it was what I had to do. I knew deep down though that the law could never make me as happy as I was when I was helping out at weddings or planning my own. In October 2018, I finally took the plunge and began offering wedding planning and coordination services.
Our rentals through Brittany Anne's are available to the surrounding states. We even have operations in North and South Carolina. As a planner/coordinator, I am happy to travel to any location!
What are some of your favorite things about West Virginia?
Where to even begin. I love EVERYTHING about West Virginia. Having been born and raised in West Virginia, I sometimes forget how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful and breathtaking place. I love the mountains, I love the valleys, I love the rivers, and I love the people. Mountaineers are like no one else.
What are some of your favorite things about weddings?
There is nothing I love more than love itself. And I love seeing how true and pure a couple's love is on their wedding day. When a groom sees his bride for the first time on their wedding, it always brings a tear to my eye. I also love seeing how every detail turns out after months and months of planning their special day.
What advice do you have for couples planning?
Take the time to create a budget and try to stick to it. The more aware you are of your budget, the easier you can find the venue and vendors you want in a timely fashion. And enjoy the process! It can be daunting, but with the right help and preparation, it should be fun and enjoyable!
Tell us the craziest or funniest thing that happened to you at a wedding?
One of the craziest things that has happened at a wedding is a bridesmaids forget her dress at her house… 8 hours away. She had to go to a dress store an hour away to find something that could work. It was a tad white, but we made it work!
